Introduction
Certifying personnel effort on sponsored research projects is a regulatory requirement under constant scrutiny by the Office of the Investigator General, NIH, and other federal agencies. Because all individuals named in a research grant are required to certify his/her own effort, now more than ever, it’s important to have an in-depth understanding of the ins and outs of effort reporting. The links below will provide access to training material as well as to the ecrt (Effort Certification and Reporting Technology) system. All individuals who have payroll or cost share from a sponsored project will be able to access their effort statement through this link by entering their Onyen and password. Once logged in, further information on effort reporting and ecrt use can be found in the Helpful Links in the vertical blue banner on the left.
