How to Access Training
As a reminder, access to use the Tango card system requires that new users complete training. Tango card training links are available from the Tango Card webpage and provided below.
UNC Permanent Employees
There are two ways to access Tango card training.
- From the Tango Card Webpage:
- Getting Started – is required and a prerequisite for Bulk and Batch.
- Bulk and Batch – is recommended before issuing physical gift cards.
- From Carolina Talent – search “tango card“:
UNC Affiliates (Temporary Employees and Students)
Affiliates can only access trainings from the Tango Card Webpage:
- Getting Started (Affiliate) – is required and a prerequisite for Bulk and Batch.
- Bulk and Batch (Affiliate) – is recommended before issuing physical gift cards.
Please note that Chrome or Firefox are the recommended web browsers for training.
How to a Download Training Certificate
Since Getting Started is the only required training, it is the only course which will generate a certificate. After completing the course, users will be directed to a page where they can download their certificate of completion.
Important for Affiliates – this is the only opportunity to download the certificate. Once users navigate away from this completion screen, the only way to receive a certificate of completion is to retake the course.
Permanent employees with access to Carolina Talent can also download their training certificate at any time from Transcripts.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
Beginning today, SSO (onyen login) is required to access the Tango Card system .
To locate the appropriate email address to use for SSO:
- Go to selfservice.unc.edu .
- Select “My Aliases”.
- Use the email address listed as the primary address.
For assistance with Tango Card visit the Participant Payments webpage or email tango@unc.edu. Please do not email the Tango Card company as they will redirect you to the University.
